The Entrelinhas Retreat is rooted in an existing creative community in Porto that I founded in conjunction with Hiten Chojer in 2023, the Porto Writers' Workshop. The goal is to provide local and immigrant writers with professional-level resources including critique groups and retreats. Since its inception, the group has grown to over 60 members.

Monthly multi-genre writing workshops act as a top-of-funnel entryway into the community and ensure access to other offerrings, including Entrelinhas Retreat. The inaugural retreat sold out, with 70% of tickets being sold within the first 48 hours.

I also developed an editorial content strategy that expressed our unique vision for Entrelinhas and positioned it as a progressive-minded, decolonial community initiative based on the principles of nonviolent communication. A literary blog, Dispatches, was formed that publishes interviews and essays from members of the community and beyond.

*The Result: A sold out first retreat, with 70% of ticket sales occuring within the first 48 hours.
